Chester Golf Club Case Study
At the end of 2025 Gen Green were appointed the contract to install a 50kW Solar PV and Battery Storage System for Chester Golf Club based in the Curzon Park area of Chester.
The club had considered a solar panel installation over the years as they knew it made sense for their business. Their annual energy consumption is over 100,000kWh’s per year, a solar system could dramatically reduce energy consumption and costs.

Gen Green worked with the clubs General Manager and looked a number of possible locations for the panels. There were three or four potential sites around the clubhouse and out on the course too. The machinery barn was strongly considered as the roof was well suited but the logistics of cable routes ruled it out in the end.
The decision was made to install the system across one end roof and the rear roofs of the main club house to maximise the number of panels installed and ultimately provide the best return on investment.
