Tesla Powerwall Reduces Grid Export and Provides Grid Back Up
By installing a Powerwall the client was able to reduce the amount of solar power being sent back to the grid and store it for use later in the day. Previously up to 50% of generation was being exported, this is now down to around 15%.
Another great feature of the Tesla Powerwall is that grid back up is provided as standard. If the property experiences a power cut then the Tesla Gateway (the brains) automatically switches over to use the battery to power the house.
